The Southover Gallery was founded in our home between 1973 and 1987. It was run by famous model turned gallerist, Deirdre Bland and succeeded in showcasing prominent artists of the day from Duncan Grant and Quentin Bell to Peggy Angus and Mary Fedden, amidst a backdrop of whirlwind openings and raucous supper clubs.

The Peggy Angus Red Dragon wallpaper which was hiding behind bookshelves was one of the first clues we found in the search towards discovering our home’s magnificent history. We are lucky that it still lines one part of the original gallery room wall today.

We are thrilled to have brought the gallery back as a hybrid destination for resident exhibitions, pop-up events , shoppable antiques, private stays, Reiki energy healing and more!
